About
I am a passionate, creative soul who likes challenges and to create something unique. I obtained a degree in Graphic Design, History of Art and Photography at the PU for CHE (now North West University). I worked for print business for 2 years and then started my own graphic design agency, called 'Gradico Visual Marketing Consultants CC' in March, 2000. In March 2008 I became a full time professional artist at my home-based studio in Hopefield, a small town bordering the West Coast and Swartland. I mainly paint in oil on canvas, doing seascapes and landscapes, sometimes portraits, it depends on what moves me to paint. I am also known for my printmaking, my etchings and paintings travel overseas to satisfied investors...my last exhibition was in Bologna, Italy. I however want to stay busy and keep my creative mind active with freelance graphic design projects, the extra cash also helps to fund my art career, art supplies are ridiculously expensive! I love people and like to interact with clients, the life of an artist is sometimes very lonely, so it helps to get out of my studio sometimes to go see and meet new people. I also love photography, to capture the moment.
